This image was originally commissioned for Brian Wilson's private memorial service. The tribute painting celebrates the life and music of one of America's greatest music visionaries. Sitting at his grand piano, Brian is surrounded by imagery from the places, albums, and moments that defined his legacy—from Capitol Records and the Hollywood Bowl to Laurel Canyon. Hints of Good Vibrations and Pet Sounds are just a few of the meaningful details that this commemorative artwork includes. Now, in celebration of Brian’s birthday, the Wilson family is proud to offer this Limited Edition print.

About the Artist:

This visual celebration of Brian’s life is the creative work of artist Michael Koelsch.  He is a painter who has won numerous awards from the Society of Illustrators and Communication Arts as well as other awards in Europe.  He is in many private collections, some that include Mike Meyers and Wes Anderson. Apple TV, MNTN, Arsonal, GrandSonLA, Universal, Dreamworks are just a few of Michael’s major accounts. The Wilson family first met Michael in 2024 when they were looking for an artist to paint an image of “Brian and Santa” for their Christmas card. Though they found Michael through his NewYork Agency, they soon found out that he and his family live in Huntington Beach, California. It was serendipitous that he surfed and was already a Brian Wilson fan.

To ensure that each Memorial print is of the highest quality, the Wilson family is working with The Icon. In honor of its 60th anniversary, Pet Sounds was celebrated with a series of releases on May 15 via Capitol/UMe, including two distinct premium all-analog audiophile pressings. These include a 2LPVinylphyle Edition featuring the original album in both mono and stereo, and a high-end Definitive Sound Series Audiophile Edition presented in mono using the One Step process. A collectible Zoetrope vinyl edition with textured front cover is also be available.

We Gotta Groove: The Brother Studio Years

New six-disc (3CD & 3LP) 73-track collection explores 1976-77 Brian Wilson-penned and produced sessions at Brother Studio through a trove of unheard outtakes, alternate mixes, instrumentals, demos, and more.

Includes newly remastered Love You album, unreleased songs from 15 Big Ones sessions, and the first official release of the mythical unreleased Adult/Child sessions. 

This expansive compilation also includes extensive liner notes detailing the Brother Studio era, along with beautiful, never-before-seen photos.

After the triumph of Brian legendary Roxy Theatre shows in 2000, he and his stellar band took that magic around the globe – and this collection captures the rare gems along the way. From Carnegie Hall and Chicago to London’s Royal Festival Hall and UCLA’s Royce Hall, these performances showcase Wilson at his most inspired, reimagining classics and unveiling deep cuts with warmth and precision. Spanning 1999 to 2007, this live set bridges eras – a rare chance to experience Brian’s golden creative run beyond The Roxy.

On April 7 and 8, 2025 marked the 25th anniversary of Brian’s legendary performances at the Roxy Theatre on the iconic Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, California. Over two unforgettable nights, Brian and his incredible band brought to life his ingenious arrangements and signature harmonies, performing nearly thirty songs – including timeless Beach Boys classics, four of Brian’s solo tracks, and his personal favorite, “Be My Baby.” The remastered 25th Anniversary edition is available in a deluxe 3-LP vinyl boxset, expanded 2-CD edition and on all streaming services.

I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times

I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times is the 1995 album that served as the soundtrack to the acclaimed documentary of the same name, which chronicled Brian's life and legendary career.  The documentary was directed by Don Was. The album consists of Brian covering some Beach Boys classics like, “Caroline, No” (Pet Sounds), “Do It Again” (20/20), “The Warmth of the Sun” (Shut Down, Vol. 2) and “Let the Wind Blow” (Wild Honey). The album was co-produced by Don Was and Brian Wilson.
